Hey guys!  With your trip right around the corner, I wanted to get you some more information.  While in India, you can expect to be staying in dorm style or private housing.

As far as packing goes, you will need the following items:

• Mess Kit
• Sleeping Pad
• Sleeping Bag
• Headlamp
• Bug Spray
• Toilet Paper
• Hand Sanitizer if you want (travel size is more than enough)
• Super conservative attire: No shorts or capris, jeans are fine and long skirts. Bring one scarf...you will be able to purchase more there.

As far as clothes go, keep in mind that you will be able to purchase clothing while in India throughout your first few days so don't go crazy getting clothing before hand. Most clothing in India will run somewhere between $3 and $12.

While it’s often fun to go shopping for new items and have your own gear, keep in mind that people you know may have some stuff they’d be willing to let you borrow.  Ask around before buying your stuff and see if someone has it—not only will you save money, you’ll provide others with an opportunity to give!
