The first night in Atlanta we went out on the streets and just found people to pray for, give food/water to, and we had a few blankets to give out.  I was really nervous at first because I didn’t know what I was going to say to anyone and how accepting people were going to be of us wanting to talk to them.  This experience was not what I expected it to be.  Most people just wanted to tell us their story and the dreams they have.  After they told us about themselves they asked about what we were doing and were impressed/pleased that we were out trying to make a difference.  We learned about talking to others and began learning about how our team is going to work together.

We have been at a retreat center for the past two days.  This has been a time of healing, growth, and bonding.  We have spent lots of time in worship, learning about the power we have in us, the change that will be made because of us, and who we are in Christ.  From all of this, I feel freed from the weights I have been carrying.  I am at rest and peace that God is with me, protecting me, and guiding me.  I have already learned so much already and I can’t wait to see what else God is going to teach me in the next four months!

Blessing
